The purpose of life is not to be just happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. Based on these principles, Janhit Samiti is a Charitable Non Government Organization based in Patiala, Punjab. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to serve those in need. Established in 1987 with 11 members only, it has now more than 1600 active members. We believe it is important to not only help others in our prayers, but more importantly in our daily lives. No aid from any Government Agency (Central or state) is obtained. Only our members/donors are contributing to the Samiti for running its various activities. All contributions made to Jan Hit Samiti Punjab (Regd.) Patiala are exempted under clause 80-G of Income Tax Act.   ​
